From his beginnings as a resident at Heaven’s Soundshaft night Troll in London in 1989 and his involvement in the early outdoor rave scene, Luke’s been responsible for some of the most celebrated and richly textured techno of the 90s and he quickly became one of Britain’s emerging talents with seminal releases on Peacefrog, NovaMute and Djax-Up-Beats.
Over the succeeding years, his many forms and guises unravelled, releasing an array of music under his L.B. Dub Corp, Planetary Assault Systems and The 7th Plain projects for the likes of Ostgut Ton and his own Mote-Evolver imprint – not to forget numerous leftfield excursions under various other monikers and countless remixes including Depeche Mode, Madonna, Octave One, Joey Beltram and Kenny Larkin.
Since his debut in 2014, Kasper has shown his skill to produce ecstatic yet reflective tracks with a clear voice over and over. With his highly refined taste across genres he has also proven to be a unique talent as a DJ – his ear for the percussive elements of music is of a rare kind and his DJ sets sliding easily between moods, tempos and styles.
In 2018 he released his breakthrough EP on Modeselektor’s Seilscheibenpfeiler label. The euphoric title track Keflavik lit up clubs and festivals all year long and was named “one of the biggest club records of the year” by Resident Advisor. In the following year Kasper released a new EP on Courtesy’s flourishing label project Kulør. With the Forever Mix EP, he proves to be texturally rich and unconventional once again. His intuitive approach to producing together with constantly finding new inspiration in other genres, his local community and society as a whole makes his music freshly unique and relevant to the scene.
As a DJ, Altinbas is known for simultaneously honing in on minute details and zooming out to the bigger picture, crafting captivating journeys that explore the common threads and connective tissue between his carefully-selected cuts. Through his online mixes, his own curated parties at Fuse, and his dense touring schedule through many of Europe’s club capitals, he’s become
known for a sound built on layered beats and rapidly shifting dynamics, where even familiar tracks feel fresh in the fabric of his sonic narratives.
Holding residencies at GIMIC radio and Brussels’ C12, alongside regular appearances on Kioskradio, Clara D has built a strong presence locally while performing across Belgium, France andfurther afield, including appearances in Canada. Mixing fluidly across three to four decks, herpractice is grounded in a dedicated approach to curation and cataloguing, positioning her as afocused and evolving voice within Brussels’ underground ecosystem.
C12 resident Paulo Sea selection deeply reflects his queerness and overall positive outlook on life. House music covers the majority of his record collection, but he likes to take unexpected twists and turns. Paulo is a key figure in Sundaze, one of today’s very best underground day parties in Brussels.
r.omy’s sets are recognisable by soul-stirring minimal and techno grooves combined with deep electro basslines, adding a pulsating energy. For her, a set feels only complete when she can surprise the listeners with hidden and unexpected elements using emotional or sentimental curveballs.
